Richard Gephardt

Richard is a lobbyist and former United States Representative from Missouri. He served as the Democratic House Majority Leader from 1989 to 1995 and Minority Leader from 1995 to 2003.

Richard served 14 terms in Congress, from 1977 to 2005, representing St. Louis’ 3rd district before choosing not to run for re-election. During his time in Congress, he was shortlisted as a Democratic Vice Presidential nominee in 2000.

After leaving Congress, Richard started Gephardt Group, a consulting and lobbying firm that he remains President and CEO of. He has lobbied on behalf of Boeing, several pharmaceutical companies, and the government of Turkey. Richard currently serves on the board of directors for Centene Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Extend Health Insurance, Spirit Aerosystems Holdings Inc., and US Steel Corporation.
