Professor Herbert Henzler has held a commercial apprenticeship at Shelljoined Moelis & Company in the role of Senior AG in Stuttgart since 2012.
Prior to that, Henzler worked for McKinsey & Company, where he was elected for the Shareholders' Committee in 1983, was Chairman of McKinsey Germany from 1985 to 1999, and subsequently Chairman of Europe until December 2001. He was also a member of the McKinsey Advisory Board. Henzler then served as Senior Advisor to the Chairman, and eventually Chairman of the Advisory, of Credit Suisse Group.
In 2004, Henzler became President of the Wissenschaftlich-Technischen Beirats (WTB) of the Bavarian Government, and then became President of the new established Zukunftsrat.
Henzler has several consulting and Advisory Board positions. He has published numerous papers on strategic management and organisation of international companies, as well as on economic and socio- political issues. Henzler has also been an associate lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich since 1986, and is an honorary professor at the Faculty of Business Administration and visiting professor of the Skolkovo Moscow Business School.
Henzler studied Business Administration at the Universities of Saarbrücken and Munich, and completed post-graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and obtained his Ph.D. at the Ludwig-Maximilians- University of Munich.
