Francois Fillon

François is a retired French politician who served as Prime Minister of France from 2007 to 2012.

François started his career in politics in 1981 as he entered the French Parliament in 1981 as the youngest MP of the new assembly. He was then elected as Mayor of Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Chairman of the Sarthe General Council, Chairman of the Pays de la Loire Region Council and Senator for Sarthe.

François has been a member of several governments as Minister for National Education, Higher Education and Research, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor and Solidarity, Minister for Information Technology and the Post Office, and Minister Delegate with responsibility for the Post Office, Telecommunications and Space.

François is also Senior Partner at Tikehau Capital, a Paris based investment Fund.
